Angular contact ball bearing clearance measurement method
1. Close and stand the bearing upright: The inner ring of the bearing is parallel to the end face of the outer ring, and there should be no tilt. Press the inner ring with your thumb and swing it 2~3 times, press it down tightly, so that the inner ring and the rolling element are positioned in the seat. Position each roller so that there is a roller on each side of the top of the inner ring raceway, and push the two top rollers inward to ensure that they maintain appropriate contact with the inner ring raceway.
2. Select the feeler gauge: Check the corresponding clearance value in the clearance standard according to the inner hole size of the bearing, and determine the corresponding larger and smaller feeler gauge pieces in the feeler gauge according to the larger and smaller values.
3. Measure the clearance value: After the bearing is upright, the gap between the outer ring raceway and the roller on the upper part of the machine is the largest radial clearance. Rotate the ring and roller cage assembly for one circle. The thickness of the feeler gauge piece when three consecutive rollers can pass through and the rest of the rollers cannot pass through is the largest radial clearance measurement value. The thickness of the feeler gauge when it cannot pass through three consecutive rollers but can pass through the remaining rollers is the minimum radial clearance measurement value.
4. Calculation of radial clearance: Take the arithmetic mean of the larger and smaller radial clearance measurements as the radial clearance value of the bearing. After the radial clearance of each row is qualified, take the arithmetic mean of the clearance as the radial clearance of the bearing.
