What are the main factors that affect bearing lubricants during operation?
In addition to lubrication, cooling, cleaning, sealing, protection, and buffering, bearing lubricants also have a very harsh working environment. During splashing and circulating lubrication, lubricants are constantly in contact with various metal parts and air. Under the catalytic action of metals, the oil gradually ages and deteriorates.
Lubricants are in contact with high-temperature parts in various parts of the bearing. For example, the temperature of the upper part of the cylinder wall is 190-290°C, and the average oil temperature in the crankcase is 100°C. Under such high temperature conditions, the oil will deteriorate due to severe oxidation.
Combustion exhaust gas and incompletely burned mixed gas will also enter the crankcase through various gaps. They will cause the lubricant to produce sludge and acidic substances, causing the lubricant to deteriorate and fail.
Dust, metal chips, carbon deposits produced after combustion, etc. will all reduce the quality of the lubricant. Therefore, the working conditions of the lubricant in the bearing are extremely harsh, and the lubricant is indispensable for maintaining the normal operation of the bearing, which puts higher requirements on the performance of the bearing lubricant.
