The difference between the motor bearing positioning end placed at the shaft extension end and the non-shaft extension end:
The motor positioning end bearing is placed at the shaft extension end
1. The shaft extension end bearing needs to bear the axial load outside the motor. At the same time, it bears a radial load that is not less than the non-shaft extension end. Therefore, the selection of this bearing may be larger than that of the non-shaft extension end. Sometimes, due to the greater difference in load, this may have a cost impact. The motor shaft extension end is used as a positioning, so the axial expansion of the motor heat has little effect on the axial runout of the motor shaft extension. Differences in motor maintenance. The maintenance of the shaft extension end requires the entire motor to be disassembled.
2. The motor bearing is placed at the non-drive end:
The radial load borne by the non-drive end is less than or equal to the shaft extension end. If it is positioned here, the bearing needs to bear the possible axial load. It is beneficial to balance the front and rear bearings. If you can choose bearings of the same size, it is beneficial to procurement costs. If the motor bearing is positioned at the non-shaft extension end, all axial dimensions of the motor thermal expansion will be accumulated at the shaft extension end. Therefore, when the motor is cold and hot, the axial movement of the shaft extension end is relatively different. It needs to be considered when connecting to external loads. Maintenance on the non-shaft extension side can sometimes be done by removing the rear end cover, but the fan needs to be disassembled, so maintenance needs to be considered.
